Thursday June 15 the Red Wing Aces jumped to a 3-0 lead in the top half of the first inning aided by two Cavalier errors on Big Brother Big Sisters Night.  Troy Peiffer settled down and battled for seven innings but Eau Claire couldn’t put together a rally.  Ty Fadness hit a long double to right centerfield in the bottom of the ninth, but was stranded when Lance Poppy popped out to end the game.

The Cavaliers rebounded with a 7-3 victory to split Saturday’s WSL Doubleheader with the Sheboygan A’s after losing the first game 3-0 with Sheboygan at Osseo as pitcher Eric Van Beck allowed just four hits.  Matt Miller went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s in the second game and Andrew Klein earned the win pitching 5 innings allowing two earned runs.

The Cavaliers swept the Sheboygan A’s 6-0 and 8-1 Sunday at Carson Park.  Yoshinari Machida hurled a complete game three hitter in the first game and T.J.Wink fresh off his no hitter, threw six innings, striking out six and allowing a run in the first inning of the second game. Ty Fadness homered in the second game off former Cavalier Pitcher Chevy Tollefson.  The Cavaliers record is 11-10 overall and 8-7 WSL Record.
