Tanner joins the Cavaliers for his second  year in 2010. In 2009, he batted .333 in four games with two hits and six at bats.

Tanner is currently enrolled at Madison Area Technical College and majoring in Liberal Arts.

In 2009 he appeared in four games as an infielder with an .333 batting average with three RBI'S  and one run scored for the Wolfpack.

Tanner is the son of former Cavalier and current Minnesota Hitting  Coach  Joe Vavra and his mother Lesa. He had two brothers, Treysen and Terrin.
