The Cavaliers traveled to Rochester Minnesota to face the Royals Wednesday July 9th for a single game. The Royals rallied for 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th for a 6-5 victory.

Saturday the Cavaliers split a doubleheader with the Melrose Park Indians in a WSL-CSBL Challenge weekend losing the first game 3-0 behind Andy Weeks who pitched seven shutout innings. Weeks struck out four and walked one. In the nightcap, Lance Poppy’s RBI Single in the bottom of the ninth inning lifted the Cavaliers to a 3-2 victory with Jared Anderson picking up the win on relief of Tyler Graskewicz who pitched 8 strong innings.

On Sunday the Cavaliers scored 3 runs in the bottom of the seventh with a home run by Cole Kraft and a 2 RBI single from Jared Anderson. Francis Murphy pitched 1-2/3 innings of hit less relief to pick up the win. The Cavaliers ran into a buzz saw in the last two innings of the second game to lose 12-1 with Jamie Friel throwing a one hitter. Cole Kraft broke up the no hit bid in the 6th when he lined a pitch into left center field. Cole scored on a fielder’s choice from Matt Miller.

Admission is $3.00 for adults with a dollar from every paid admission given to Big Brothers Big Sisters Wednesday July 16th is Epilepsy Foundation Night sponsored by Chippewa Herald Newspaper featuring the USA Military Traveling Team with $3.00 Admission for adults and $1.00 of each paid admission going to the Epilepsy Foundation and the USA Military Traveling team. Thursday Night July 17th is Bothun Automotive Night also featuring the USA Military Traveling Team with free admission.

US Military All Stars VS Eau Claire Cavaliers

Come out and welcome the United States Military All Stars as they visit Eau Claire, WI in Carson Park to take on the Eau Claire Cavaliers. Wednesday’s game, Epilepsy Foundation Night, sponsored by the Chippewa Herald Newspaper, with a pre game concert by Doc and the Interns at 6:30pm.

Admission is Adults $3:00 - Kids under age 18 are free

Thursday’s game is Bothun Automotive Night. Tickets are free but donations are appreciated to cover travel expenses for the military all stars. Pre game begins at 5:30 both nights with the Military All Stars taking batting practice and signing autographs. There will also be pre-game military ceremonies beginning around 7:20 to honor Eau Claire native Ryan Fellenz who lost his leg last year while serving in the War in Iraq.
